Department of Pediatrics

- The Department of Pediatrics is the first department of the hospital to accomplish the ISO 9002 with the potential in personnels, medical equipments and services.
- The Department of Pediatrics provides services to children from newborn to 18 years adolescent by pediatricians and sub specialists in various fields.
- Services in Child Health Care covering both well child clinic (health check up and immunization) and sick child clinic.

The Department of Pediatrics consists of:-

1. Out Patient Department (OPD)

   -services for health check up, immunization, and sick child care, from 7am to 9pm

   -the Pediatric OPD consists of

     18 sick child OPD rooms and 2 well child rooms,

     one emergency room with complete medical equipments,

     one 'intravenous fluid room' for giving intravenous fluid in non-admitted cases

     one breast feeding room

     play ground for children

     one pharmacy in the same compound for the convenience of parents

2. In Patient Department (IPD)

   -wards provide for general sick children care

   -Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for sick children that required intensive care

   -Newborn nursery with experienced personnels to provide care for newborn,

breast feeding demonstration, baby bathing demonstration, etc.

   -Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) providing care for sick newborn.

3. Day Care Children Center

   -provides children care from newborn up to age 2 years, from 6am to 6pm

   -there are 2 types of services

   - 5 days/week (pre-choice of 2 days off)

   -7 days/week
